The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) invites applications for the post of I Grade Overseer / I Grade Draftsman (Civil) in the Public Works Department. This recruitment is under the Departmental Quota, open exclusively to eligible employees of the department. The selection will be conducted through Direct Recruitment from among specified categories of employees who meet the required service and educational qualifications.

Source of Recruitment : Only from Second Grade Overseers/Draftsman, Third Grade Overseers/Tracers, Clerks, Typists, Typist-Clerks, and Confidential Assistants of the Public Works Department.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma in Civil Engineering from Kerala University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.

Candidates must have rendered not less than 2 (two) years of service in the respective categories (Second Grade Overseers/Draftsman, Third Grade Overseers/Tracers, Clerks, Typist, Typist-Clerk, or Confidential Assistant) in the Public Works Department.

Pay Scale 37,400 – 79,000/- per month.

Must have completed 18 years as on 01.01.2026. There is no upper age limit for this selection.
